Team, did you see this?
Last week, the Virginia Mercury reported that Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears - who is legally required to sign bills passed by the legislature – wrote in a handwritten note next to her signature to state her opposition to our Reproductive Freedom Amendment. As a reminder, she is the Republican frontrunner for the gubernatorial race this November.
Let’s be clear: This anti-abortion rights PR stunt is not shocking. Lt. Gov. Earle-Sears was the keynote speaker for the March for Life just last month in Richmond, and if she is elected, she has vowed to END abortion access in VA, stripping away access from millions of people across the South.
But here’s the thing: this is a blatant reminder of what we’re up against as we near critical elections this year and why we are fighting so hard to enshrine reproductive rights in the Virginia Constitution – so politicians like Earle-Sears can no longer stand between people and their rights. We will be rolling out our endorsements of pro-choice candidates soon. Help us ensure they have what they need to fend off anti-abortion extremists by pitching in a donation today → ([link removed])

Team,
As President of the Senate, Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears is legally required to sign bills passed by the legislature…and she had some thoughts when it came to our amendment to enshrine reproductive freedom in the Virginia Constitution.
As reported by Virginia Mercury, Earle-Sears – who is running for governor THIS November – scrawled down a comment next to her signature making it clear that she is opposed to our efforts to protect reproductive rights, including abortion, IVF, and contraception access, stating: “I am morally opposed to this bill; no protection for the child.”
Take a look for yourself:

The last time that she took this unnecessary step to make her thoughts known was when she was forced to sign a bill that would “prohibit officials from denying marriage licenses to same-sex or interracial couples.” Her extremism is showing. 🤮
This isn’t breaking news. Earle-Sears has already promised to do everything in her power to stop abortion in Virginia, and this is just the latest example of why we cannot leave reproductive rights in the hands of VA Republicans. People, not politicians, should have the power to decide when and how they start a family, and we’re fighting to make sure that’s our reality.
We are going to need your help in every step to get this done: Help us win the House, pass the amendment, and then secure our rights for future generations by rushing $25 or whatever you can now → ([link removed])
