Newsday just called on Long Island’s representatives in Congress [[link removed]] to stand strong and work across party lines to restore the SALT deduction. I couldn’t agree more.

It’s absurd that people in NY-03 and throughout New York are taxed on the State and Local Taxes, they have already paid…it’s a double tax. We need to work together to bring down the cost of living and make Long Island and Queens affordable. That means working toward a full repeal of the SALT cap, but even an $80,000 cap would be a good start, helping over 90% of the families we represent.
