Last week was National Police Week. I am proud to have introduced legislation that would codify qualified immunity to protect hard working law enforcement officers. Do you also believe we should do more to protect our law enforcement officers?

Yes- I do believe we should stand with law enforcement. No- I think law enforcement officers have sufficient protection.

Blocking U.S. Tech from Fueling China’s Military 

Last week, I introduced the Preventing PLA Acquisition of U.S. Technology Act. The bill prohibits U.S. government agencies, federally funded universities, and private companies receiving federal funds from partnering on sensitive research with Chinese entities linked to China’s military-civil fusion strategy.

The Chinese Communist Party has used our research and technology against us, strengthening their own military and preparing for war against America. My bill stops U.S. taxpayer dollars from arming the Chinese military and protects America’s technological edge. Click here to learn more.

Expanding Classical Learning Test to Service Academies

My bill, the Promote Classical Learning Act, requires U.S. military service academies to accept the CLT in addition to the SAT and ACT for admissions for admissions. It also mandates that federally-run secondary schools, including Department of Defense and Bureau of Indian Education schools, administer the CLT to all 11th-grade students.
