Hi John,
Look at this. We’re in the middle of a pandemic, and my Democratic opponent Derek Kilmer has chosen to:
Cosponsor a standalone bill to bail out lobbyists.
Sign onto a letter advocating the creation of a closed-door commission that would cut Social Security.
Fear monger about the national debt.
Why would you want to bail out LOBBYISTS — of all people — during a pandemic?
Why is it that we have money to bail out corporations and Wall Street, but somehow Social Security always ends up on the proposed chopping block?
Why is it that the national debt is only invoked when it comes to social programs and never when it comes to endless war?
Funding Social Security is a moral imperative, and I will not stand for corporate Democrats who threaten to cut it. Please donate $3 now, so we can afford to call voters and let them know they have a candidate who will NEVER cut Social Security.
20% of my district is 65+ years old.
I once met a senior in Tacoma who lives on $750/month. Her rent is $650.
If Derek Kilmer can't stand firm for something as basic as not taking away her Social Security, he doesn't belong in Congress.
She has so little as it is.
We might have to dial back our phone banking if we don’t raise enough tonight. Please donate $3 now, so we don’t miss out on letting voters know about our pro-Social Security platform:
