Big week, John.
The House is supposed to vote on the budget bill, so I have some good news and bad news.
I'll start with the bad news: Republicans are charging ahead with their plan to gut Medicaid – all to fund tax breaks for Trump and his rich buddies. 🤬
Republicans in Washington love to talk out of both sides of their mouths. They'll claim they’re not stealing from the American people to pad the pockets of the rich. They'll side step questions and dance around the truth.
The good news? Here in PA, we keep them honest. We see right through them. And there is still time to show Republicans that we're not putting up with this.
Their Medicaid cuts were never about government efficiency or the national debt. That's why I voted a hard NO on their budget bill last month, and I’m raising hell to stop the one coming down the pike now.
You know exactly where I stand: I will NEVER support any bill that strips Medicaid benefits from Americans to bankroll tax cuts for their rich friends.
John, in addition to calling your representatives to let 'em know how bad this budget would be for PA + the country, hitting our fundraising goals is one of the best ways to show them how fired up we are. That we will NOT back down. So I have to ask: Will you pitch in $5 right now to build the momentum we need to STOP these Medicaid cuts?
