AIPAC DMFI has a new leader, and you will be shocked to learn a “top Democratic staffer” has taken charge of AIPAC’s front organization:



If you are unfamiliar with DMFI, let us give you the rundown. DMFI stands for “Democratic Majority for Israel” and they are a PAC (political action committee) formed in 2019 whose oxymoronic mission statement declares that they are “working to maintain support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and a progressive policy agenda.” 

The problem is, it’s actually funded and fueled by MAGA AIPAC donors and operatives who thought they could just put on a fake mustache to disguise themselves.

Instead of supporting “progressive policy,” they have spent millions in Democratic primaries to defeat progressive elected officials who would dare to criticize Israel’s apartheid state and on-going genocide of the Palestinian people. In 2024, DMFI and other pro-Israel groups spent a staggering $24.7 million to defeat progressives Corey Bush and Jamal Bowman for calling for an end to Israel’s genocide.

Normally, this type of “Democrat” on Democrat crime in a primary is something that Democratic Party elites would be going hysterical about. However, the DNC stayed completely silent as their popular incumbents were swept out of office and replaced with empty AIPAC suits lined with blood-soaked cash. And now - a top Democratic operative is in charge of the whole operation.

And the other high-profile progressives that DMFI chose to leave alone? Scared shitless. Many members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus were elected to stand up to this type of bullying, swore to uphold basic human rights and protect marginalized people. But with the threat of DFMI and AIPAC dumping cash into their races, they’ve lost their courage and have become complicit. 

Many of us, including staff with Clean Up the Caucus, have tried the “carrot” approach with these progressives - sending our hard earned money to support their grassroots campaigns, canvassing, phonebanking, etc. - everything to give them the independence they need to fight the establishment. Yet, they have cowered.

So it’s time to use the “stick.” Clean Up the Caucus is exposing the cowards in the progressive caucus who have backed down in the face of the dark campaign cash flowing from DMFI. If they won’t find their courage, we’ll force them to grow a spine by exposing their complicity in genocide.
