Dear John,

On a Friday night in a high school cafeteria in Eagle, Idaho, 50 people showed up.

Eagle is rural. It’s often written off as too red, too small, or too hard to organize. But we don’t see it that way. We see neighbors hungry for connection. We see a community that wants something better.

That’s why The Union is doing what others aren’t: showing up in places that get overlooked — whether they’re in red states or blue states, and bringing people together. Because we believe that rebuilding democracy starts in rooms like this one in Eagle.

We’re not asking folks to pick a party. We’re inviting them to stand up for something bigger: decent, competent candidates who care about their communities and will do the job with integrity.

Our town hall in Eagle was just the beginning. With your support, we can keep organizing, listening, and building — one community at a time.
