Dear John,

Climate change is here, and our communities are already feeling the impacts. That’s why OLCV has joined Building Resilience, to promote healthy resilient communities that run on affordable clean energy AND Move Oregon Forward, to promote a safe, sustainable, climate friendly, and accountable transportation package.

Both the Building Resilience campaign and Move Oregon Forward campaign have seen some buzz about the Energy Affordability package and the Transportation package. Our voices can still be heard, as legislators make their final decisions. We are looking for community members, who'd be interested in writing a Letter to the Editor to their local newspaper or another publication.

The 2025 legislative session is coming to a close, and that means legislators are negotiating the energy affordability bills and transportation package! Oregonians like you can make a huge difference by sharing your clean energy, climate resilience, and transportation stories. We know that when it comes to rising costs of living, and climate resilience everyone has a story to share.

Are you interested in writing an LTE focused on transportation or energy affordability? If so, Building Resilience and Move Oregon Forward are co-hosting an LTE workshop on May 22nd, from 6-7pm.

EVENT: Building Resilience and Move Oregon Forward LTE Workshop
WHEN: Thursday, May 22nd from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
WHERE: Zoom, link provided to RSVPs
RSVP here: [link removed]

Letters to the Editor are great ways to show legislators in a public way that we support climate resilience, for both transportation and energy! We hope to see you there!

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions, and don't forget to RSVP before it's too late!

Warmly,
Sarah Kline (she/they)
