John, this past Tuesday we launched my campaign for Congress! It’s been a crazy week.

From Senator Bernie Sanders' endorsements to constituents' calls of support, I have been truly humbled by the support we’ve received over the past week.

But the most humbling part of it all is a number: 3,000.

We’ve received over 3,000 contributions from grassroots supporters just like you who are ready to send a wave of change to Washington.

The cost of living is up. Wages aren’t keeping up. Trump’s billionaires are rigging the rules in their favor.

And because of the support I’ve received in our first week of the campaign, I’m ready to win this open seat and send a clear message that the status quo is no longer working, and that I’m ready to be the change we desperately need in Congress.

But as our campaign grows, so will the attention (and attacks) from the folks who will spend *whatever* it takes to maintain the status quo.
