Alright, listen up human!
I have a lot on my mind at the moment, and I don't have the time, or shall I say the room for niceties.
That’s me. Cute, ain’t I? I’ve been a little grumpy lately because my neighborhood has gotten a little...crowded. Don’t get me wrong, I love sharing my home with my community of critters, but I just wish I could nestle into a warm den and enjoy some peace and quiet. You know what I mean?
FYI, Monte Rio Redwoods is home to numerous species of wildlife, and we ALL deserve the space to roam comfortably. Having more land would be a big deal for us badgers and certainly put me in a better mood.
Plus, you didn’t hear it from me, but those folks at Save The Redwoods League said they’re hoping to acquire and preserve Monte Rio Redwoods – that's over 1,500 acres of land that would unite over 22,000 acres of redwood forests. But they need your help.
Could you imagine all the space we’d have?! Expanding this public land would connect all who use it to a larger connected landscape - which would be life changing for me and my wildlife neighbors. I’m grateful to know there are people out there who care about my home and all of its inhabitants.
Creating a livable, free-roaming environment for all creatures is top of my priority list.
Thank you for making it top of your list today.
