Our executive director, Dr. West-Bey authored a widely-shared op-ed in Newsweek: “100 Days into Trump 2.0, Young People Are Not Okay” [[link removed]]

In it, she connects the dots between the administration’s implementation of Project 2025, the rollback of youth-centered investments, and a rising climate of fear among young people. Dr. West-Bey calls on Congress to reauthorize the Youth Title of WIOA and protect Medicaid access, and she urges funders and policymakers alike to resource youth-led solutions at the scale of the current crisis.

According to recent polling, more than two-thirds of Gen Z disapprove of the Trump administration — a clear indicator of their concern. The time for bold, youth-centered policy response is now.
