Friend, I have big news to share.
My mom taught me that if you have faith just the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain. And today, I have proof.
Months ago, the political pundits and Washington insiders said this campaign had no chance. They doubted the power of this movement, but over time we grew, and now we’ve closed the gap between us and Amy McGrath by over 40 points.
POLLING OVER TIME January: McGrath/Booker 65-7 Today: McGrath/Booker 44-37 |
Amy McGrath and the political establishment thought this race was a done deal after the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee endorsed her candidacy.
But at the end of the day, the only opinions that matter are those of the people of Kentucky. And if you’ve been listening to the people of Kentucky, you know what they want: real change.
Folks don’t want another middle-of-the-road Democrat who doesn’t speak to the issues of our generation. There’s no way we’re going to build the movement we need to defeat Mitch McConnell with someone who’s running to help Trump with his agenda.
So no matter how rough things looked a couple of months ago, we knew that if we kept the faith, kept hustling, and stayed focused on what matters in this election -- we could move mountains.
Victory is within reach. We can close this gap as soon as next week if we ramp up our voter outreach programs, invest more in our targeted digital, radio, and TV ads, and continue meeting voters.
I can feel it in my heart -- I know this is the movement that’s going to defeat Mitch McConnell and bring real change to Kentucky.
10 more days,
-- Charles Booker
