Our new film puts children’s stories at its heart, as their malaria stories are too often left unheard.
We wanted you to be the first to watch it after its debut in front of world ministers at the sidelines of the World Health Assembly in Geneva.

These are the voices of children from across Africa, whose lives are being shaped by this deadly disease. Their stories reveal what’s working, what’s under threat, and why we must act now.
Share the film to make sure their stories are heard. Together, we can make the case for increased investment and rally investment for the Global Fund later this year.

Why the film was made: We’re facing the perfect storm
We are at a critical crossroads. Resistance to current tools, extreme weather, humanitarian crises, and a lack of funding are all putting the opportunity to end malaria at risk.
New data shows that without more money, malaria could kill 337,000 more people in Africa. 80% would be children.
Malaria also puts pressure on weak health systems and hides other diseases that could cause future pandemics. By ending malaria we can help protect everyone, everywhere.
Go behind-the-scenes to hear the real stories of the children on the frontline against malaria
When families are forced to flee their homes, they often leave everything behind, including protection from malaria.
Sleeping outdoors and without mosquito nets, they are exposed to deadly bites.
Access to testing, treatment and mosquito nets saves lives.
Go behind the scenes to discover more of the real stories we encountered when making this campaign, and the growing challenges that are making malaria harder to fight.

Silvine’s story

Silvine fled the Democratic Republic of Congo when bombs started falling. Her home destroyed. Her family hunted. She ran with her parents through forests, sleeping under trees, with nothing but fear and mosquito bites.
“We came with nothing. Not even a mosquito net.”

Ending malaria is within reach
2025 is our chance to get back on track.
For the first time, we have the tools to change the course of malaria: next generation mosquito nets, new drugs, the world’s first malaria vaccines, and cutting-edge research into genetically modified mosquitoes.
But tools alone are not enough. We need strong leadership and the money to get these tools to the people who need them most.
A fully funded Global Fund will save lives, stop malaria, and make health systems stronger.
It’s time to Change the Story.
