John,

Hundreds of thousands of people of all backgrounds are waking up to the long fight that’s been under way to end white supremacy.

Just look at how support for Black Lives Matter has changed in two weeks:

Right now is a key time to bring more people into the movement for racial justice – and we can’t miss this opportunity. But according to the report, public support for Black Lives Matter among white voters has increased by only 15% – while public support among Black, Hispanic or Latino, and non-white voters has increased by 82%, 52%, and 41% respectively.1

We still have a long way to go to educate and bring more voters and white voters especially into this movement to defend Black lives. We need women and allies from all backgrounds in the fight to undo generations of systemic racism and take key steps like defunding the police.

We have a plan to reach these women, John, and it’s already under way. Last week alone, we had more than 40,000 people participate and engage in our live discussions and organizing calls: Understanding and Transforming White Womanhood and Defund the Police 101.

Just as importantly, we have been able to funnel hundreds of Women’s Marchers directly into opportunities for action, not just discussion. From sharing information about protests, places to donate, and resources and trainings to get involved in defunding the police locally – we’re working together with our partners to educate and mobilize this mass movement to defend Black lives.

But we rely on grassroots donations to make this possible. Will you pitch in $5 now to help us continue to mobilize and educate this movement to defund the police and stand up against systemic racism?

On our calls this week, we learned that 78% of respondents said that they had been taught that police keep us safe – not knowing that one-third of all Americans killed by strangers are killed by police.2 In addition, 78% said their sentiment about police had also shifted in the last 2 weeks.

We need your help to educate, engage, and put these new folks to work, John. Every donation you make will help us do that. We have a small, but scrappy, team with just five full-time and five part-time staff, but we’re proud to “punch above our weight” and still reach hundreds of thousands of people.

Our goal is to activate thousands of new people and give them tools to put their outrage into action. Your donation of $5 will help us train and recruit a new woman-activist to get active in their community.

Please stay tuned for more trainings and activities coming up including:

With resolve,

Tabitha
