John,

This month, we learned AmeriCorps funding to Delaware was slashed by $1.1 million — affecting 113 volunteers across 10 community-based projects. At the same time, the Food Bank of Delaware has been told it’s losing about a third of its USDA deliveries, and will soon face new tariffs on essential goods it purchases to feed our neighbors.

The Trump administration's attacks are causing real damage here in the First State and Chris is doing everything he can to stand up to this reckless agenda. Make a donation to support Chris's fight for our communities >> [link removed]

This fight isn’t new. When Elon Musk burst into the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) office, he cut vital funding, gutted programs, and left a mess behind. AmeriCorps was one of the programs hit the hardest. In response, Chris led a bicameral letter demanding that DOGE and Elon Musk spare AmeriCorps from these dangerous cuts. But they’ve refused to listen, and now, programs are being eliminated and volunteers are being told they can’t help their communities anymore.

That is not what public service is about, and Chris will not let it stand. If you’re with him, pitch in to help him protect programs that lift up our state and our country.
