New Galleries Coming in 2026: America’s Founding Gallery (Opening February 2026) – Featuring one of only 14 known original, official printed copies of the U.S. Constitution. Separation of Powers Gallery (Opening May 2026) – An engaging new space exploring how the Constitution defines roles and balances power. These galleries will offer unique opportunities to enhance student learning through direct engagement with primary sources and historical artifacts. Plan Your Visit: Whether you can visit Philadelphia or schedule a virtual trip, the Center offers meaningful ways to inspire your students and enrich your curriculum. We offer: In-person field trips: Tour the new galleries and participate in interactive exhibits. Virtual museum visits: Book a virtual field trip led by a museum educator. Register your class for a Live From the Museum program. Schedule a virtual student program, such as Scholar Exchanges or Civic Stories. PLAN YOUR VISIT Monthly Professional Learning Civility at the Founding Online | Wednesday, May 21 | 6:30–8 p.m. ET Close out the academic year by exploring the historical and constitutional significance of civility as a concept. During this session, participants will dive into broader themes, connect classroom lessons to historical perspectives, and gain strategies to set an engaging, thought-provoking tone for the next academic year. Members of the Teacher Advisory Council receive a yearly stipend for their valuable time and professional advice. Applications are open until May 31. TAC members have the opportunity to: Build community with fellow educators in a nationwide professional learning community Facilitate professional development opportunities and conference presentations with members of the Center’s Education team Participate in virtual and on-site programs exclusive to members of the Center’s educator networks Support in shaping the Center’s nonpartisan educational materials and programs APPLY TO JOIN Reserve Your 2025-2026 Civic Calendar Our America 250 commemorative 2025-2026 Civic Calendar will support the classroom instruction of key historical dates, events, and themes that led up to the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence. Each month offers free educational resources and discussion questions to engage learners about both its history and its relevance today.
