Good Afternoon!
Thank you for being a loyal supporter of the House GOP Battleground Fund - the driving force behind Republican victories across New York!
As you know, this vital effort, led by House GOP Leadership Chairwoman and proud Upstate Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, is focused on flipping and defending key battleground congressional seats right here in New York - critical seats that decide the balance of power in Congress.
We’re grateful for your continued support and wanted to share a few important updates from this week:

Elise Attends Albany County GOP ‘Spring Fling’
Last weekend, Elise attended the Albany County GOP’s annual “Spring Fling” picnic held in Bethlehem. Elise rallied supporters for her mission to save New York from Governor Kathy Hochul’s failed leadership, that has left New Yorkers with unsafe streets and less money in their pockets.
Elise stated -
"An incredible high energy event to support the Albany County GOP at the Elm Avenue Town Park in Bethlehem! Thank you for the warm and enthusiastic welcome and I am honored to help support our hardworking local and county candidates across our great state as we SAVE NEW YORK!"
Assemblyman Chris Tague stated -
"Albany County GOP showed up BIG TIME for Elise Stefanik yesterday at their Republican Spring Fling Picnic in Bethlehem! From now, until
the local elections in November and forward to 2026, it is all gas and no breaks. The only way we save New York and elect a governor like Elise Stefanik."

Chairwoman Stefanik Leads Legislation for School Choice via Tax Incentives
This week, Chairwoman Stefanik proposed legislation to expand school choice by way of tax incentives. The "Educational Choice for Children Act" offers a 75% federal tax credit for donations to organizations funding scholarships for K-12 students to attend private or religious schools. The bill is being cosponsored by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Rep. Burgess Owens, R-Utah, Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Neb.
House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated -
" Like nearly all parents across New York state, I am deeply concerned about our failing education system and schools. That's why I'm proud to help lead the Educational Choice for Children Act, legislation that would expand school choice and provide high quality educational opportunities for students trapped in failing school systems.
New York elected Democrat’s near-universal opposition to school choice has left our students trapped in a failing system. Despite spending more than any state in the nation per student - New York’s schools continue to underperform with rampant absenteeism and failing outcomes. It’s time to give every child the chance to reach their full potential."
Rep. Adrian Smith stated -
"Every child in America deserves a quality education and the Educational Choice for Children Act is our best opportunity to ensure every parent can enroll their child in the school which best meets their needs. I am grateful ECCA is included in the House tax package and that it has the support of so many leaders
across the House Republican Conference."

Chairwoman Stefanik Hosts America250 at Fort Ticonderoga
Last weekend, Chairwoman Stefanik invited America250 to the 250th anniversary celebration of the Battle for Fort Ticonderoga. The historic Revolutionary War battle was a turning point for the American forces, and remains one of the proudest historical sites in all of New York State. Chairwoman Stefanik worked successfully to obtain funds to preserve Fort Ticonderoga, and she will continue to ensure that the site is taken care of for generations to come.
House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated -
"At my invitation, America250 came to Fort Ticonderoga
in New York's 21st Congressional District to honor the legacy of
America’s first victory in the Revolutionary War.
The triumph over King George III and his British redcoats
boosted the American Patriot’s morale to continue the fight against tyranny, an idea that continues to live in the hearts of all Americans today.
Throughout my time in Congress, I have worked to provide over $2.5 million in funds for Fort Ticonderoga. In 2024, I was proud to provide $750,000 for its wall reconstruction, a significant investment
in preserving our nation’s history."

STEFANIK OP-ED - National Police Week: A Tribute to Our Law Enforcement Heroes
This National Police Week, we pause to honor the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities.
Chairwoman Stefanik penned an op-ed in RealClear Politics to highlight the sacrifices our men and women in blue make when they put on their uniform every day. It is an important moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness that law enforcement officers demonstrate daily, particularly in Upstate New York and across our great state.
House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik -
"Happy National Police Week to all our law enforcement officers all across New York and our nation who serve with courage, dignity, and unwavering commitment!
Your daily sacrifices - facing danger, protecting our communities,
and upholding justice - don’t go unnoticed.
We honor your service, remember those who gave their lives, and
stand grateful for the thin blue line keeping us safe.
New York’s 21st District and hardworking families all across
Upstate New York will ALWAYS back the blue. Thank you!"

New York GOP Women Working for Our Seniors
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis visited her NY-11 constituents in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn this week to discuss the work she’s doing in Washington to deliver tax relief for senior citizens.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis stated -
"I wanted to tell everyone the good news that we are working hard to deliver tax relief for our senior citizens. For those of you that are on social security, if you earn less than $75,000 for an individual or $150,000 for married couples, we believe you are going to get some significant savings when we pass our bill.
My legislation to increase the deduction to seniors to $4,000, or $8,000
if you’re married, I think is going to pass. We are going to get it done and we’re going to deliver it to seniors in Staten Island and Brooklyn."
On the state and local tax (SALT) deductions -
"If we triple it, it will actually cover 98 percent of the people in our district. Families that make less than $400,000 will see that deduction triple. It’s going to cover the seniors and middle-class families. That is also making its way in the bill."
