I’ve been blown away by the massive outpouring of support I’ve received since announcing I’m running for governor in Iowa. At the risk of sounding corny, it really is inspiring.

But this race is a marathon, not a sprint, so if we’re going to flip the script here in Iowa and elect me as Iowa’s next governor, we need to build a sustainable grassroots movement.

I’ve *literally* made a career of going after partisan insiders, so although we know they’re going to do whatever they can to defeat me, we’ve got something they don’t:

This grassroots team of supporters that are craving change in Iowa.

My team set a goal to bring in 8,000 Founding Donors the first week of this campaign, and doing so would send a clear message that we’ve got that extra umph we need to win a fiercely competitive race like this one.

We’re going to win this race by building the biggest tent we possibly can, and to do that, we must reach out to Iowans in-person and across digital channels to communicate with folks who might not otherwise hear from us.
