From
the Desk of Lawrence Hansen, M.D.
It's an ethical failing I can't undo, Taxpayer.

I participated in taxpayer-funded dog experiments – abuse you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Let me introduce myself... my name is Dr. Larry Hansen.

I'm a board-certified pathologist. I'm involved with treating patients suffering from brain tumors, Parkinson's disease, and other neurologic diseases.

I'm also ranked as one of the top 100 Alzheimer's disease researchers worldwide with over 160 publications in the last 30 years.

As a medical student, I was instructed to vivisect (from the Latin, "vivi" - meaning, to be alive, and "secare" - i.e. to cut) and then kill friendly dogs, including a Golden Retriever and a black Labrador Retriever.

The Golden was the "lucky" one. We only cut her open, observed some basic physiologic functions, and killed her.

But Taxpayer, the black Labrador Retriever had it far worse...

Week after week, we performed inept and painful procedures on her (bungled mutilations, really) — over and over and over again.

Then we stuck a needle in her, killed her, and dumped her body in a garbage bag, like trash.

Well Taxpayer, these puppies aren't trash. And I didn't have the strength of character to stand up to my professors back then.

Controversial experiments on dogs

But after 40 years of practicing medicine, I'm determined to speak up now!

Taxpayer, I'm sounding the alarm because one of the federal government's worst dog labs is on a shopping spree.

"A shipment of dogs set to arrive Thursday for testing." – FOX 8 News

The Dept. of Veterans Affairs just purchased a fresh batch of puppies — and we caught them red-handed. Some of these sweet hounds are only 9-months old.

DEADLINE: unless you take immediate action the "Cleveland 3" will be slaughtered in a government basement.

Most painful dog labs

This is the same lab that spent $38,000 of your money for "submissive" and "friendly" puppies, killed them just days before their first birthday, and lied that they were adopted out!

Make no mistake: these puppies were purposefully bred to love and trust the very same government bureaucrats who torture them to advance their careers.

Taxpayer, this isn't science. It's a shameful betrayal of a 10,000-year-old bond built upon mutual love and loyalty.

DEADLINE: follow this link to rush your most generous gift to save the Cleveland 3.

Taxpayer, when I asked for your help to end the FDA's baby monkey nicotine addiction labs, you stepped up.

We won the campaign... and the primates were just retired to a warm, Florida sanctuary for the rest of their lives!

And Taxpayer, when I called on you to end USDA's Kitten Slaughterhouse, you answered.

We won again... and the survivors will be adopted out!

Now we must do it for the Cleveland 3. We can't abandon these puppies now!

As a scientist, I can assure you: the most effective way to end these experiments is to attack their tax funding.

We've alerted the international media. We've launched hard-hitting billboards and TV ads in the lab's own backyard.

And we've rallied 90 powerful Republicans and Democrats in Congress to permanently de-fund the abuse!

But unlike the government's animal abusers, our campaign isn't funded with $15 billion in tax handouts.

Taxpayer, all we have is you... so I'm challenging you to rush your most generous gift again before the deadline.

I didn't have the character to stand up for these dogs when I abused them in medical school.

It's an ethical failing I can't undo.

That's why I'm rushing a special gift to save the Cleveland 3 right now... and you should too.

Can I count on your support before the critical deadline?

Thanks,

Lawrence

P.S. DEADLINE: I love beagles and I loathe government waste. So I'm repenting for my past taxpayer-funded dog torture with a special donation to save the Cleveland 3. Taxpayer, will you join me before the deadline? Thanks – Dr. Hansen.

To stop taxpayer-funded animal tests, we must first stop the $15 billion+ in wasteful government spending.

We find, expose, and de-fund wasteful government spending on animal experiments. To change public policy, we unite liberty lovers and animal lovers with hard-hitting investigations and public policy campaigns.
