Team — Today is Armed Forces Day, when we honor and express gratitude to the service members in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. We recognize their commitment, bravery, and sacrifice in defending our nation.
Donald Trump claimed to support service members on the campaign trail, yet has used his first 100 days to attack transgender service members, make cuts to the Veterans’ Affairs department, and fired hundreds of veterans from government positions.
The best way we can honor veterans’ commitment to service to our country is by making it easier, not harder, for those who are called to serve to do so and ensuring that veterans have the resources they need once they return from duty. That means a full range of benefits — health care, mental health services, job support, and much more that they deserve. The cuts this administration has made will leave millions of veterans in need.
Katherine and House Democrats are focused on delivering for those who serve our country, but we can't do it alone. We hope you’ll stand with us in support of America’s troops as we bring the fight for veterans to the House floor. 🇺🇲
