The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 119th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Celebrating Mother's Day
On Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day. I hope all the mothers in AZ-05 and across the nation had a wonderful day.
We’re incredibly thankful for the sacrifices you make for your families.
Honoring Police Officers
During National Police Week, we remember the fallen, honor those serving, and thank all who have worn the badge.
We’re grateful for the local, state, and federal officers who sacrifice their lives to protect our communities.
I will always back the blue.
DROP ZONE 2025 Recap
I held my sixth annual Drop Zone event. Drop Zone is the best one-stop resource fair for Arizona’s seniors and veterans. Nearly 70 organizations and more than 600 constituents stopped by.
Drop Zone is a special opportunity for us to come together to celebrate our veterans and seniors and to connect them with local resources and advocacy organizations that can help make their lives easier. One of the greatest privileges of serving in Congress is to assist those who gave so much in service to our country.
It can be difficult to navigate the red tape of the federal bureaucracy. My team and I hear from veterans and constituents every day who are struggling to deal with the VA, IRS, Social Security, and other agencies. The primary mission of my District Office is to help constituents through this process and obtain the services and benefits that are available to them.
Drop Zone would not have been possible without the help of our phenomenal volunteers and organizations. I am grateful for the generosity and selflessness of Arizonans, and I am honored to represent Arizona’s Fighting Fifth in Washington, D.C. Thank you to all who attended and participated in Drop Zone 2024!
I am humbled to have been recognized by Carl Forkner, the Commander of Chapter 8 of the Disabled American Veterans East Valley. I was recognized by Mr. Forkner, on behalf of the 3,400 men and women of Chapter 8, for meritorious service to veterans, their families, and their survivors.
It is the honor of a lifetime to represent the best Congressional District in the country. Click the image below to see Mr. Forkner’s remarks:
$10,000,000 Recovered for Constituents of Arizona's Fighting Fifth District
Staff in my District Office work tirelessly to assist constituents when they’re facing issues with the federal government.
Since I first took office in 2017, my staff has closed more than 4,100 constituent cases. This number includes:
- VA Cases: 1,107+
- Social Security Cases: 407+
- IRS Cases: 484+
In total, more than $10,037,500 has been recovered and paid out.
If you need help with a federal agency—including the VA, IRS, Social Security, getting a passport, and more—my District Office stands ready to assist you in every way that we can. Please don’t hesitate to reach out at 480-699-8239.

Surveying the Border in Yuma
President Trump’s border is SECURE.
We didn’t need new laws to achieve operational control; we needed a new President.
Americans are thankful for CBP and ICE agents, President Trump’s Cabinet, and—most of all—for President Donald Trump.
Attending a Signing Ceremony with EPA Administrator Zeldin
This week, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin finalized the approval for Arizona’s application for primary enforcement responsibility over the Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program.
Arizona’s Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will now have primary authority to regulate underground injection wells under the Safe Water Drinking Act instead of relying on federal oversight.
EPA’s approval of ADEQ’s application is a significant step forward in returning regulatory authority to states. I’m thankful for Administrator Zeldin and President Trump’s commitment to shift power back to the states.
Speaking on House Republicans’ Plan for Medicaid on the House Floor
Medicaid, originally intended for vulnerable groups, is now the fastest growing program in the country—and able-bodied, working-age adults are taking advantage.
Republicans are working to root out waste, fraud, and abuse.
Click the image below to hear my remarks on the Democrats’ false claim that Republicans are going to gut Medicaid:
House Oversight Committee Roundtable
The Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement held a roundtable on “A View from the Frontlines: A Police Week Roundtable on Emerging Issues Facing American Law Enforcement.” It was great to hear from state and local police officers, and I appreciate them sharing their experiences.
I discussed the importance of collaboration between elected officials—like governors and mayors—and federal, state, and local law enforcement officers in protecting American communities. Click the image below to watch my remarks:
Meeting with Representatives from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association
It was great to meet with the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association during National Police Week.
Federal LEOs are often our front line of defense against the worst the world has to offer, and I thank them all for their service and bravery.
Visiting with Members of the Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series
I was excited to spend time with the participants of this year’s Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series.
I’m grateful to have strong Republican women fighting the good fight back home in Arizona.
Thank you for stopping by!
Hosting Arizona State University President Michael Crow
It was an honor to host Arizona State University President Michael Crow in my DC office.
I appreciate his valuable insight into the future of higher education in Arizona and the United States.
I look forward to many more years of collaboration with Arizona’s great universities!

Visiting PHI Air Medical in Mesa
It was great to visit PHI Air Medical’s Base in Mesa.
PHI Air Medical is the leading air ambulance provider in the United States, transporting more than 22,500 patients every year from 82 bases across the country.
I’m thankful for their commitment to the care of their patients.
Speaking with Seniors at San Tan Foothills High School
It was an honor to meet and speak with seniors at San Tan Foothills High School.
The students and I discussed my legislative priorities in D.C., the economy, and college tuition prices.
I am grateful for the invitation. Good luck to all in your next venture!
Team Biggs Attends the Red Mountain High School JROTC Awards Ceremony
Staff from my District Office attended the Red Mountain High School JROTC Awards Ceremony and presented three cadets with a Certificate of Special Recognition for their leadership and dedication to their battalion.
