Last month, the Center for American Liberty filed a lawsuit after a Massach=
usetts judge attempted to silence peaceful protesters outside the Norfolk S=
uperior Courthouse by legislating an unconstitutional =E2=80=9CBuffer Zone=
=E2=80=9D from the bench.</p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">The j=
udge=E2=80=99s speech suppression policy banned all demonstrations and expr=
ession within 200 feet of the courthouse =E2=80=94 no matter how quiet, res=
pectful, or lawful their speech was.</p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:=

It also banned the press from reporting outside the courthouse.</p><p style=
=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">We challenged it in federal court. And jus=
t days ago, the First Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in our favor =E2=80=94=
affirming that individuals have a right to engage in peaceful expression o=
n public property near the courthouse, so long as it does not interfere wit=

In clear defiance of the appellate court=E2=80=99s order, law enforcement r=
efused to let him stand where the court said he had every right to be=E2=80=

tts State Police denied Jason access to a public sidewalk because he was ho=
lding a poster with a Bible verse on it=E2=80=942 Corinthians 3:17 to be ex=

Last month, the Center for American Liberty filed a lawsuit after a Massach=
usetts judge attempted to silence peaceful protesters outside the Norfolk S=
uperior Courthouse by legislating an unconstitutional =E2=80=9CBuffer Zone=
=E2=80=9D from the bench.</p><p style=3D"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px">The j=
udge=E2=80=99s speech suppression policy banned all demonstrations and expr=
ession within 200 feet of the courthouse =E2=80=94 no matter how quiet, res=

It also banned the press from reporting outside the courthouse.</p><p style=

t days ago, the First Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in our favor =E2=80=94=
affirming that individuals have a right to engage in peaceful expression o=
n public property near the courthouse, so long as it does not interfere wit=
