The House just took a dangerous turn. Hidden in their new budget reconciliation bill is a 10-year federal ban on AI regulation — stopping states from protecting us from surveillance, discrimination, and digital abuse.

That means:

• No state can regulate facial recognition systems that steal our biometric data
• No protections for gig workers fired by unfair algorithms
• No oversight on AI used in housing, policing, education, and job decisions

All of this, while the same bill that cuts critical services like SNAP/TANF, Medicaid and Medicare. This isn’t just a budget — it’s a full-scale attack on our digital rights, our economic freedom, and our safety. And it will hit Black communities the hardest.
