Dear Friends,

I write to share the latest updates with you on my recent Congressional work.

In honor of National Police Week, I welcomed local Southern California law enforcement officials to my Washington office for a discussion about public safety and their work to protect our communities. I also reintroduced legislation to support San Diego’s law enforcement childcare center – the first of its kind in the nation – because their unique hours of service necessitate unique support solutions.

This week I voted in favor of legislation to address law enforcement safety and wellness and another to expand concealed carry options for officers.

I testified in the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to make the case AGAINST continuing efforts by government to tax you for every mile you drive by placing a device on your car that would calculate that distance.

My office announced that Murrieta Valley High School freshman Connor Main won the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for his very engaging entry entitled The Dire Wolf.

Finally, as Democrat colleagues push for a vote to impeach President Trump, please know I vigorously oppose this unfounded and completely partisan attack. I support President Trump’s work to secure the border, eliminate wasteful spending, and end the weaponization of government against the American people.

As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information, please visit www.issa.house.gov and follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram at @RepDarrellIssa.

Respectfully,
