Republicans just passed a bill which is the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in U.S. history.
❌ UNPRECEDENTED SNAP CUTS: The House budget includes the largest reduction ever proposed in the history of SNAP, threatening food for over 575,000 Kentuckians including 225,000 children, 73,000 seniors, and 61,000 people with disabilities.
❌ MASSIVE MEDICAID CUTS: 1.4 million Kentuckians could lose health care as Congressman Guthrie demanded $880 billion in Medicaid cuts.
❌ ALL TO FUND BILLIONAIRE TAX BREAKS: These tax cuts on vital lifesaving programs are just for the rich to get richer.
Kentucky would be forced to pay $190 million annually for SNAP. Congressman Brett Guthrie is leading these cuts despite 30.7% of his own district depending on Medicaid, while in Congressman Rogers' district, a staggering 44.1% rely on these services. These cuts would put 135,000 older adults and children at risk.
As Governor Beshear warned: "Health care is a basic human right. Cutting Medicaid will cause Kentucky children, our seniors and rural families to lose access to care."
