Email from Winning For Women, Inc. The latest on what's happening with right-of-center women May 16, 2025 The Latest News Fighting For America's Moms Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) recently introduced the More Opportunities for Moms to Succeed (MOMS) Act — a bold, pro-family initiative designed to support women through pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood. At the heart of the MOMS Act is the creation of Pregnancy.gov, a federal online clearinghouse that would connect women with local resources such as adoption agencies, pregnancy resource centers, and maternal health services. The site would also provide information on federal grants available to non-profit and healthcare entities offering pregnancy support. Sens. Britt and Ashley Moody (R-FL), the only two Republican moms of school-aged kids in the Senate, joined Lara Trump on Fox News over the weekend to discuss the legislation. Setting The Record Straight American Action Network launched a health care-focused ad campaign highlighting how liberal members of Congress have played politics with health care and the cost of prescription drugs. The campaign also highlights how members like WFW-endorsed Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) and Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) are fighting to protect seniors by rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in programs they rely on. The ads are running across 30 Congressional Districts and come as Democrats have been exposed by the NRCC and others as lying about Republicans position on Medicaid. Honoring The Best Of America The Trump administration held events in Washington D.C. and across the country to honor military moms, law enforcement, teachers, and small business owners who have made sacrifices to better our communities and keep them safe. Just as she did in prior years, First Lady Melania Trump hosted moms who have served our nation in uniform, the moms of servicemen and women, and moms whose spouses serve in the military. In honor of National Police Week, Attorney General Pam Bondi welcomed law enforcement officers from across the country to the Department of Justice to thank them for their service. She also held ceremonies at the headquarters of the FBI, ATF, DEA, and the U.S. Marshals to pay tribute to the fallen officers of each agency who paid the ultimate sacrifice. At the Department of Education, Secretary Linda McMahon praised the "noble profession" of teaching during Teacher Appreciation Week. She also gathered videos from her fellow cabinet secretaries who shared stories of a teacher they appreciated as a student. Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler marked National Small Business Week by hosting hundreds of small businesses at her office in Washington, DC. She then traveled to Arizona, Idaho, and Tennessee to meet with America's job creators and discuss an administration initiative aimed at cutting $100 billion in burdensome regulations.
