Range
Amur leopards are found in the forested border areas between the Russian Far East and northeast China. Most are in Russia. |
Interesting info
This critically endangered subspecies is the world's rarest big cat. These leopards are poached for their beautiful, spotted fur and also face habitat loss. There may be only around 100 left in the wild. |

|
These solitary cats are top predators, and they play an important role in maintaining a healthy balance of species in their habitat. Conservation of Amur leopard habitat also benefits other species, including tigers. WWF works with local communities and other partners to monitor populations, stop poaching, and protect leopard habitat. |
