Trump is planning to accept a “gifted” luxury jet from the very same people he criticized for bankrolling terrorism “at a very high level.”

The corruption and hypocrisy here is shocking, Holly.

During his first term, Trump called out Qatar–a known ally of Russia and China–for “funding of Radical Ideology.”

Then, Qatar started pouring in money to gain Trump’s favor. And it worked.

Trump’s inner circle now has deep ties with Qatar. His sons just closed a deal to develop a golf course and luxury villas with Trump’s name on the Qatari coast.
If you’re as outraged as I am by this corrupt gift exchange, please chip in $5 or whatever you can afford to help me fight these blatantly unconstitutional schemes.

I am extremely troubled about the national security implications of this transaction—which puts our Commander in Chief—and potentially our national security— in the hands of our enemies.

But even more so, I’m troubled by the astounding corruption that Trump and his cronies are engaging in right in front of our very eyes.

Retrofitting this Qatari aircraft to be up to our defense standards could cost far more than the aircraft our Department of Defense is already contracted to purchase from Boeing—and taxpayers will be the ones footing the bill, even though reports suggest Trump plans to keep the plane once his term is over. Our focus should be on servicemembers’ safety and lowering costs. Trump accepting this bribe achieves neither of those goals.

Trump says not accepting the plane would be “stupid.” What he really thinks is that we’re all “stupid” enough to let him get away with this.

Not only is this a national security nightmare—it’s an insult to our intelligence.

Well, I’m not stupid. I see this exchange for exactly what it is: unconstitutional and dangerous. We cannot let Trump get away with putting our national security up for sale, but I can’t fight this alone.
