Friend,
Crises like war and displacement leave scars that run deep and are often invisible.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) mental health response goes hand-in-hand with our delivery of medical aid to meet the psychological needs of patients in the wake of an emergency. As twenty-two percent of people living in conflict zones experience mental health problems, this care saves lives.
Your support will help bring mental health care—and other urgently needed medical care—to people living through traumatic situations who have nowhere else to turn. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, make a gift to provide more support to the people in more than 70 countries around the world.

MSF’s mental services are vital for people experiencing depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic disorder.
That often looks like our staff recognizing when people are in distress, listening to them, connecting them to services and resources, and encouraging them to lean on their families and communities. Our teams also educate people about psychological reactions to a traumatic event through group and individual sessions. Coping mechanisms and self-regulation techniques like deep breathing are helpful interventions for patients experiencing moments of crisis.
With the support of this generous community, MSF’s doctors, nurses, psychologists, and other mental health care providers play a pivotal role in delivering mental health care alongside medical care to people in crisis around the world.
Help MSF teams continue providing critical medical and mental health care to our patients by making a gift today.
