250 years ago — in May 1775 — the Second Continental Congress was established in Philadelphia.
That Congress produced our Declaration of Independence.
The Declaration documented King George III’s offenses against liberty. Among them:
"cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world”
“depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury”
“transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences”
“he has excited domestic insurrections amongst us”
Sound familiar?

If he could be, Trump would be King.
He is disassembling all constraints on executive power.
He would rule by decree and dress himself in the trappings of monarchy.
He and his family are exploiting the Presidency to enrich themselves in the billions of dollars.
He pushes daily beyond the bounds of law to quench his limitless thirst for power and revenge.
Our test:
Can we use the peaceful civic power reserved for citizens by our Constitution to defeat Donald Trump’s un-American political project?
The State of Georgia is the front line of this struggle to defend our Republic.
I’m the only Democratic Senator up for re-election in a state Trump won in 2024.
If I am unseated, MAGA cements their grip on the Senate.
The scant checks and balances that remain will be unwound — perhaps permanently.
It’s all very clear.
So I am asking for your help.
Please make a contribution to my re-election campaign today. Please contribute $5 or any amount that works for you.

The Declaration wasn’t just a statement of principles.
It was a call to action.
250 years later, it still is.
As always,
Jon Ossoff
