we're approaching you with such urgency because the recent developments in Hungary are putting UNITED in great danger. The proposed "Transparency of Public Life" bill threatens the existence of civil society organizations like UNITED because, if passed, this law will:
- Allow blacklisting of organizations receiving foreign funding
- Require government pre-approval for grant applications
- Impose massive fines (25x the funding amount)
Considering that nearly 100% of UNITEDโs funding comes from international grants and donations, ๐ช๐ฒ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐น ๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ณ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐น๐ฎ๐.
