From the HIV crisis to the Covid-19 pandemic and the outbreak of Ebola, big pharma companies have long put their pursuit of profits above the lives of ordinary people, pricing people out of essential medicines and ignoring diseases if they mainly affect people and countries with less money. The Two Worlds film series features personal testimonies from the sharp end of this deeply unjust system.

But the films also offer hope, showing how international movements and health workers are organising to resist profiteering, while scientists work together to build a new way of making medicines for the common good.

The films series was developed with the support and guidance of film industry professionals who brought valuable storytelling and technical skills, as well as linking us with filmmakers in five different countries.

I hope you will join us for this online launch to watch some of the short films together and hear from these inspiring advocates for global health. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.

I hope to see you there.

Thank you,
