** Irish Mail on Sunday lifts the lid on massive increase in abortions
------------------------------------------------------------
To their credit, the Irish Mail on Sunday published an extensive report last weekend on Ireland’s new abortion regime, pointing out to readers that more than 50,000 abortions have taken place in the six years since the law changed.
They drew on data provided by the Health Service Executive (HSE) in response to a series of recent parliamentary questions from Offaly Independent TD, Carol Nolan.
Deputy Nolan voiced serious concern in the piece over the increasing number of abortions, asserting that successive governments had failed to uphold assurances that abortions would be ‘rare’ if the 2018 referendum passed. The Offaly TD further criticised the Government, accusing it of undermining and ‘gaslighting’ people who voiced concern at the surge in terminations.
The Mail on Sunday piece also quoted Pro Life Campaign spokesperson Eilís Mulroy of the Pro-Life Campaign calling for immediate action to address the ‘alarming’ rise in abortions taking place year-on-year.
To all who attended, thank you. Your participation wasn’t just a gesture - it was a witness. It was a visible sign of hope, resolve, and love. The movement is strong, and your presence helped make that crystal clear.
A special word of thanks to the two main guest speakers, Ruth O’Sullivan from West Cork and Senator Sarah O’Reilly of Aontú.

Pro-abortion doctor admits 5,000 telemedicine abortion complications in the UK
Nicola Packer, who was arrested in the UK in November 2020 on suspicion of having an illegal abortion, was recently cleared by the jury. The details of the case show that during the Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, she called MSI Reproductive Choices following a positive pregnancy test and received and used the abortion pills-by-post. She told them she was less than 7-weeks pregnant, but was shocked when she later “passed a dead fetus estimated to be 26-weeks gestational age.”
Ms Packer was unaware of how far advanced her pregnancy was. She stated, “I just felt really bad, I didn’t know I was pregnant or that far along…If I had known I was that far along I wouldn’t have done it… I wouldn’t have put the baby or myself through it.”

Royal College of Psychiatrists withdraws support for ‘Assisted Dying Bill’
On Wednesday, the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCP) withdrew its support for the UK’s assisted dying bill.
The move deals a significant setback to proponents of the legislation ahead of its return to the House of Commons today.
This development comes as Scotland’s own assisted dying proposals cleared their first legislative hurdle earlier this week. Dr Lade Smith, President of the RCP, stated: “The RCP has reached the conclusion that we are not confident in the Terminally Ill Adults Bill in its current form, and we therefore cannot support the Bill as it stands.”
The decision is particularly important given that, under the bill’s provisions, psychiatrists would play a role on the panels tasked with reviewing assisted dying cases.

ONE STEP CLOSER! US House Committee passes Bill to defund Planned Parenthood
The US Energy and Commerce Committee this week passed a bill that includes language to defund Planned Parenthood. All amendments introduced by pro-abortion committee members to remove the pro-life language from the bill failed. The bill will now proceed to a vote in Congress
.
Planned Parenthood recently announced that it ended the lives of over 420,000 unborn babies in the latest year for which figures have been released, and made over $2 billion.
Watch this short video, featuring a coalition of pro-life campaigners making the case for the immediate Defunding of Planned Parenthood, which is the largest abortion provider in the US.
