Texas: Defending the Right to Worship Freely
When a local church in Texas changed its name, city officials suddenly demanded new permits and costly fees. They even threatened to stop the church from meeting for worship unless the demands were met. That is when Pacific Justice Institute stepped in. Our Texas legal team is now representing the church to ensure their doors stay open and their freedom to gather is protected. Churches should never be bullied by government pressure. PJI is committed to standing in the gap so ministries like this one can keep doing what they are called to do.

Florida: Protecting Parents from Government Overreach
Parents in Florida are one step closer to reclaiming their authority thanks to the Supervision of Children Act. This commonsense bill protects parents from being investigated simply for letting their children walk to school, play outside, or enjoy age-appropriate independence. PJI’s Center for Public Policy is fully backing the bill and has urged Governor Ron DeSantis to sign it into law. If enacted, it will take effect July 1 and set a strong precedent for parental rights across the country. Families, not government agencies, should decide what is best for their children.

West Virginia: A Major Win for Families and Students
West Virginia is making headlines for all the right reasons. With the help of PJI’s legal and policy team, the state just passed powerful new laws that affirm parental rights and protect students. One bill creates a Parental Bill of Rights, giving parents the legal ability to direct their child’s education, health care, and moral training. Another law bans forced instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity and guarantees parental access to key decisions involving their children. PJI is proud to have supported these victories and to stand with families in the Mountain State.
