Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and summer is right around the corner across Wyoming. There are two excellent opportunities coming up this weekend for families to get out and kick off the summer season.

 Lander Region
The 11th annual Wyoming Outdoor Weekend is May 16-17 at the Lander Community and Convention Center. Come and be a part of our mission to promote the local economy, engage in conservation efforts and experience the wonders of Wyoming’s wildlife resources. Admission is free and open to the general public from 4 pm to 8 pm on the 16th and 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on the 17th.
 Jackson Region
Elkfest is May 17 in the Jackson Town Square. At this event, elk antlers collected on the National Elk Refuge are auctioned off to benefit scouting programs across western Wyoming. Game and Fish will be there to teach attendees skills like how to stay safe in bear country and firearm safety skills using our shooting trailer. Elkfest is free to attend and open to the public from 7 am to noon.
