John –
Republicans are stripping money away for clean energy projects from their own communities – all to pay for big breaks for billionaires fossil fuel companies. Clearly, this was never about government spending or the deficit – they just want to line their friends’ pockets.
SEEC members are on the frontline pushing back against the GOP megabill in the House Energy and Commerce Committee. SEEC Co-Chairs Reps. Doris Matusi (CA) and Paul Tonko (NY), joined by 9 other SEEC members, slammed MAGA Republicans for this disastrous bill that puts communities across the country on the chopping block.
“[This bill] is a shameless sell-out to corporations at the expense of hard-working Americans’ health and prosperity.”
– SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Doris Matsui
Our SEEC members won’t back down, but they can’t do it alone. Will you chip in today to help them hold the line in Congress? [[link removed]]

The GOP megabill will be devastating for millions of Americans by:
* Raising household energy costs while handing out tax breaks to billionaires and big polluters
* Gutting life-saving pollution protections, including clean air standards, methane reduction, and climate justice grants
* Killing good-paying clean energy and manufacturing jobs by defunding innovation and industrial modernization
* Sabotaging public health in frontline communities already overburdened by pollution
* Legalizing corruption by letting oil and gas companies buy their way around permitting and environmental reviews
This is corruption, plain and simple. Fossil fuel companies can pay to play to get ahead – while companies and organizations that relied on federal funding will suffer. Our SEEC members fought against this proposal for hours in committee and are working to make sure everyone in the country is aware of this horrible bill.
However, taking on the Trump kleptocracy isn’t easy. Our 100 SEEC members in Congress need more support to stop the administration in its tracks – will you rush a donation today to take a stand against Republican spending? [[link removed]]
