John: Every year, on June 14, veterans and servicemembers across the country raise a glass to the U.S. Army on its birthday. Fun fact? The U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th birthday, making it one year older than the United States.
What’s the opposite of a fun fact? President Trump, in true Donald Trump fashion, is making this day about himself. His birthday is also on the 14th so he’s ordered a military parade from the Pentagon, running past the White House lawn, which will cost more than one hundred million dollars … while at the same time is firing thousands of veterans across the government and slashing services for housing and healthcare that they’ve earned.
Not to mention selecting the deeply unqualified Pete Hegseth as his Secretary of Defense, someone who has recklessly and repeatedly put the lives of servicemembers at risk and undermined our own national security.
So let’s be clear. This parade cannot be both a celebration of Donald Trump's actions that directly harm our troops and veterans AND a celebration of our Army's service.
That's why I'm saying "NO" to a military parade for President Trump's birthday – and I'm counting on you to join me, John. During this critical time, we need a surge of grassroots supporters like you to make your voice heard in support of our troops. Will you add your name to our petition and say "NO" to a military parade for Trump's birthday?
Tell Congress: NO military parade for Trump’s birthday!

As a third-generation veteran, I take our nation’s responsibility to respect and honor those who bravely served us all very seriously. And I won’t stand idly by as Donald Trump turns what should be a celebration of our troops into a celebration of his dangerous agenda.
Thank you for adding your name.
There's work to be done,
Chrissy
