John – Have you heard about the GOP's new anti-choice agenda?
In coordination with the country's most powerful anti-abortion groups, Republicans are taking steps to ban abortion pills and roll back Americans' fundamental freedoms.
🚨 Just yesterday, Sec. of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ordered the FDA to re-review mifepristone, an FDA-approved safe and effective medication used in nearly two-thirds of abortions nationwide.
Republicans just handed over their anti-choice agenda (they're internally calling it "Rolling Thunder"). Here's what it includes:
- Banning safe, FDA-approved abortion pills like mifepristone
- Blocking online prescriptions and mail delivery of abortion medication through telemedicine
- Shortening the window for abortion access (in states with partial bans) from 10 weeks of pregnancy to just seven — before many people know they're pregnant
- Suing doctors and manufacturers in shield-law states who prescribe pills across state lines
- Stripping federal funding from organizations like Planned Parenthood
And they're already putting this plan into motion:
- Missouri Republican U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley just introduced a bill requiring in-person doctor visits for abortion medication, plus added surveillance.
- In a dog-whistle move, the FDA signaled it wouldn't challenge mifepristone unless "new data" emerged — so the GOP responded by immediately releasing a new junk science "report" riddled with misinformation from a right-wing think tank.
- Now, RFK Jr. is ordering the FDA to follow through on that challenge.
Anti-abortion groups are seizing on Republican control of Congress and the chaos of another Trump term to push their extreme, unpopular agenda. But Democratic pro-choice women are standing up, fighting back, and building campaigns that WILL take back power this cycle.
