Hi John,

Earlier this month we marked the 28th anniversary of World Oceans Day, but sadly the health of our oceans has never been bleaker. More than 8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year — drowning wildlife, polluting our beaches and wrecking ecosystems, with no end in sight.

Join me this Thursday, June 18, for our next Saving Life on Earth webinar to learn more about the Center's work to protect wildlife, communities and the climate by fighting plastic pollution at the source.

We'll talk about industry's plans to drastically increase plastic production, what we're doing to stop it, and why we can't recycle our way out of the problem. The presentation will feature Center Senior Attorney Julie Teel Simmonds and Oceans Campaigner Delia Ridge Creamer, and it'll be hosted by Saving Life on Earth Campaigner Brytnee Miller.

By registering for this conversation, you'll also receive a link 48 hours before our call to watch the new documentary "The Story of Plastic," which illustrates the impacts of plastic pollution throughout the plastic life cycle. Although you aren't required to watch this documentary to join our conversation, we highly encourage you to do so.

The hour-long webinar will start at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET. It's free, but you need to sign up.
