Tomorrow marks the midway point of the second quarter of 2025. At the end of June, we’re required by the FEC to make all our fundraising data public.
While this is a win for transparency in politics, it’s also an opportunity to show our grassroots strength. All eyes – including those of our two Republican opponents – will be on us to see if we have what it takes to keep IL-13 blue.
House Republicans are hell-bent on making life unbearable for the middle class. Right now, they’re pushing for $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid and $230 billion in cuts to food assistance programs like SNAP – all to hand tax breaks to their billionaire donors on a silver platter.
It’s absurd, and I’m fighting day and night to stop the madness.
But here’s another reality: Holding extreme Republicans accountable is nearly impossible without a Democratic House majority.
Only three seats separate control, and Democrats have a real shot at holding this Administration accountable. But the majority runs directly through my district.
