Hey there, John — I can’t fully express how excited I am to be joining the team at Opportunity Arizona.

I had the honor of serving my community in the state legislature until 2024, so I know firsthand how the policies we pass directly impact Arizonans. As a public school teacher for 27 years, I believe deeply that we need to work together to make sure that everyone gets their chance to thrive.  That means ensuring every student gets the great education they need for our state to have a strong, educated workforce. It means working families and seniors have access to affordable housing and healthcare. That’s how every Arizonan gets their opportunity to thrive.

At a time when too many national and state politicians are prioritizing the wealthiest few—Opportunity Arizona is the strong grassroots voice for everyday Arizonans who are essential to our state’s success. We listen to everyday Arizonans, create policies to address their concerns, and support candidates who will get those policies enacted in our state legislature. 

That’s why I’m so proud to be joining this team.
