Join progressive voices across the country to mobilize against GOP assault on working class

Hi—

After weeks working behind closed doors, House Republicans have gone public with their heinous budget bill, and are quickly moving to a full vote in the House of Representatives.

Just as we feared, the bill not only makes massive cuts to Medicaid and SNAP food assistance funding, it also guts historic clean energy programs and tax credits passed under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)—programs which are vital for ensuring energy affordability, economic competitiveness, and cutting climate pollution.

To learn more about what’s at stake and how you can help advocate in the coming days, join me on Monday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT for a virtual town hall with our friends at Americans for Tax Fairness, Public Citizen, and other progressive groups who are fighting back against these disastrous attacks on lifesaving programs.

The town hall will be followed by a National Call-In Day on Tuesday, May 20, when we’ll use our collective voices to pressure lawmakers to vote NO.

We know the GOP budget bill will be catastrophically harmful to millions of Americans across the country, who are already struggling to keep up with higher bills. On Monday, we’ll hear from experts on what we stand to lose, and learn exactly how to get involved.

Now is the time for us to stand united across movements and across communities to fight back against this shameful attack on the working class and all the progress we’ve fought so hard to win.

I hope you’ll get involved and join me for this mass online call next Monday, May 19. ([link removed])
