I just got off a call with my campaign manager, and although we’ve raised a lot in the last couple days (thank you!), we need to raise $6,000 more this weekend to continue phone banking at the pace we have. Can you donate $3 now, so we don’t have to pull back on phone banking?

Campaigning during a global pandemic is uncharted territory.

No one has run a modern campaign in conditions like this, yet our campaign continues to reach more and more voters every day. The problem is that phone banking is MUCH more expensive than canvassing, which is essentially free (volunteers knocking on doors and talking to voters in person). Instead of free canvassing, we have to pay for phone banking software, and the charges rack up fast.

My campaign manager let me know pretty bluntly: we need to raise more money or we need to (worst-case scenario) stop phone banking. Please donate $3 now so we don’t miss out on reaching voters.

Now, the reason we’re in this precarious position is that we have SO MANY people phone banking for us every day that our budget literally cannot keep up.

It’s a good problem to have!

But it’s still a problem.

Voters deserve to know that they have an alternative to a corporate Democrat who wants to cut their Social Security. They deserve to know that I will NEVER cut their Social Security.
