The people of Gaza are starving. Tell your Senators to act.

It has now been nearly three months since the Israeli government imposed a total blockade on Gaza — the longest since the beginning of the war.

Food should never be used as a weapon of war. Imposing a total blockade on the entire population of Gaza is collective punishment and a violation of the Geneva Convention.

NJN Welcomes the Return of Edan Alexander

May 12, 2025- Edan Alexander was released from captivity today after 584 days as a hostage. Hamas reportedly agreed to release Alexander – a dual U.S.-Israeli national – following direct talks with the Trump administration. Presidential envoy Steve Witkof told reporters that his release is intended as a gesture of goodwill to President Trump.

 

The Israeli Cabinet initiates land registration process that would dispossess Palestinians from their lands in the West Bank

On Sunday, May 11th, the Security Cabinet decided to initiate land registration process (also referred to as “land settlement process”) in Area C in the West Bank. The process of land registration determines definitive ownership of land, and due to its irreversible nature, international law prohibits an occupying power from carrying it out in occupied territory.
