Shane Jenkins at the Capitol

Friend,

Have you ever experienced what life is like inside our prison system?

If you have, then I don't need to tell you just how inhumanely people are treated, and why I need your help to address the systematic issues in our justice system.

But if you haven't, let me tell you what happened to me as a prisoner from January 6th.

In the Washington, D.C. Department of Corrections, my fellow J6ers and I faced nothing short of the intentional deprivation of basic human rights: predawn raids, excessive verbal abuse, long stints in solitary confinement, no haircuts, no religious services, no visits, and denial of access to lawyers or discovery.

While behind bars, I wondered, "How could anyone possibly live a normal life after facing this kind of suffering and political persecution?"

I'm not going to lie... I'm not a saint.

I've been incarcerated before for mistakes my younger self made prior to giving my life to The Lord. But I never experienced anything like I did when I was locked up for participating in the January 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol.

There is a SERIOUS need for reform in how the American criminal justice system operates.

That's why I started Stand in the Gap.

Stand in the Gap gives me the opportunity to keep driving meaningful change for those who are incarcerated and those seeking to rebuild their lives upon release.

With the pardon of the January 6th defendants, Stand in the Gap is working to help these American patriots rebuild their lives and bring systemic reform to the criminal justice system.

You can help ensure that the justice system operates with transparency, fairness, and humanity by donating today. Please donate $500, $100, $50, or even just $10 today to help me and my team uphold human dignity and prepare non-violent prisoners for success upon release.

Since President Trump pardoned me, I've grown significantly. I prioritize time with my children, focus on my mental health, enjoy helping others, and strive to stay humble while putting God first.

This is what Stand in the Gap desires for every formerly incarcerated person, particularly former January 6th defendants.

Unfortunately, most of my fellow January 6 hostages have had a difficult time adjusting to life after dealing with years of suffering and abuse at the hands of our criminal justice system.

Stand in the Gap is dedicated to transforming the current incarceration system into a corrective endeavor aimed at rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society upon release.

By providing access to quality education and vocational training and investing in individuals, we aim to equip incarcerated individuals with the skills and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives.

As a result of the political persecution of January 6th protestors, there are nearly 1,600 American patriots who need to rebuild their lives.

Through lobbying efforts and collaborative partnerships, Stand in the Gap seeks to create lasting change that promotes justice for these patriots and any offender looking to make a fresh start.

Your donation of $10, $50, or even $250 can help Stand in the Gap transform the prison experience into a meaningful journey of growth and development aimed at preserving human dignity and preparing non-violent prisoners to be contributing citizens upon release.

Stand in the Gap is a story of redemption - and it's only the beginning.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that we must see the humanity in all people - no American should be forgotten or discarded.

In the Bible, Jesus speaks about remembering the prisoner. Passages like Matthew 25:36, where He says, "I was in prison and you came to visit me," remind us of our duty to care for those who are imprisoned.

By educating the public about alternative incarceration techniques, constitutional enforcement, and policy changes that prioritize rehabilitation, education, and repentance, Stand in the Gap aims to build a more just and compassionate society.

Please consider donating $10, $35, $50, $100, or any amount you can generously afford today. >>
