There’s been a lot of noise lately
about the “Abolish the ATF Act of 2025.” And nobody has been a bigger
advocate of dismantling the ATF than we have — but here’s the
problem...
If you kill the agency without killing the laws it
enforces, you’re just handing the gun control playbook to someone
else.
That’s not a win. That’s a shell
game.
That’s the argument FPCAF’s Cody J.
Wisniewski made this week in an op-ed with The Washington Examiner, and it’s why FPC’s frontline legal warfare
is so important.
You see, Friend, if we just got rid of the ATF, their
agents could simply move to another agency like the FBI - which has
proven chillingly effective at violating rights.
Or the task of taking the people’s
guns could move to the Department of Homeland Security, which has an
ENORMOUS $89.3 billion budget at their disposal, compared to ATF’s
$1.8 billion.
Fact is, until these nasty anti-gun laws go, eliminating
hostile federal agencies like the ATF would be no better than a game
of whack-a-mole.
That’s why we’ve got to continue
leading the charge against the laws they enforce & fighting
forward with no compromises and no backroom deals!
