“I want him to understand that people make mistakes. Learning from them is how you overcome adversity and build resilience.”

For Jason Brown, that understanding came through lived experience. Jason's journey began in 8th grade with marijuana use, escalated through high school, and intensified after losing his grandmother. He eventually found recovery and the strength to focus on what matters most: being there for his son.

Now a professional chef, Jason uses cooking not only as a creative outlet but as a way to connect with his son, and with others. It's in these everyday moments that prevention happens.
