Join us for the 15th annual Feathers Over Freeport birding and nature festival returns for one day only, Saturday, May 17, at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal. Hosted by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, this family-friendly event features bird walks led by naturalists, crafts and activities, wildlife presentations, a food truck, and the debut of a Bird Call Contest open to all ages.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Guided bird walks at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Crafts and nature activities for kids (10:00 AM–3:00 PM)
- Chewonki “Calling All Birds” and “Biomimicry” presentations
- Vernal pool exploration with a Maine master naturalist
- Bird call contest (new!)
- Live “Birds of Prey” show by the Center for Wildlife
- Brickyard Hollow Food Truck on-site

COST: Event is free with paid park admission: Residents: Adults aged 12-64: $4; Ages 5-11: $1; ages under 5 and over 65: free. Non-ME residents: Adults $6; Ages 65+ $2.00; Children 5-11 $1. ; ages under 5: free.
