Christian Prayer Caucus has launched: a weekly Church service started this past week, meeting in the State Capitol for prayer, worship, and the Word! The turnout was wonderful. Learn more here.
Outstanding Prayer Breakfast: a sold out crowd of 500 met for breakfast on this month in Lansing. Legislators, business leaders, citizens gathered for prayer and a powerful message from David Brooks. Watch for the next one.
The May 6 Election Day saw a very unique turnout – and highlights HOW much engaged citizens can make a difference in their local elections.
According to Michigan Information & Research Service (MIRS), more than half of local school bonding measures failed in our latest election. Typically, says MIRS, school bonds pass 69% of the time.
One example is the Midland school bond who had a record turnout and a 68% “no” vote – in a town that normally approves local school measures!
People appear to be paying more attention and are tired of adding more taxes to our local funding.
Please pray for wisdom and discernment for our local officials as they need to make important decisions!
And pray for more responsible Christian citizens to get involved in local efforts.
