John,
Clowns have always been political.
From ancient street performers to anti-fascist disrupters like the Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army (CIRCA)1, clowning has a radical lineage: exposing the absurdity of authoritarianism, mocking power, and stripping tyrants of their illusion of control.2
That’s exactly what we’re doing on June 14, Trump’s birthday—and the day he plans to parade through D.C. like a tinpot dictator.
We’re flipping the script with Kick Out The Clowns: grassroots street circuses across the country that laugh, rage, and resist. But to pull this off at scale, we need your help.
In radical joy,
Women’s March
